Because we purchased our chicks as a mixed batch, we weren’t sure what breeds we were getting. Does anyone know which breeds these could be?

Lucy is the one with the white face. I thought she might be a Langshan as well as our rooster Hank. Our other hen Blacky is entirely black… eyes, legs, feathers. I read about Ayam Cemanis but they are suppose to be rare so we don’t know lol.

Thanks for your help!

Is that fluffy feet? They all honestly looked like black Cochins to me

Where did you get the chicks? Black Australorps are usually pretty black in the face until they start laying
My sister-in-law’s friend in Ontario. She orders them in and hatches them so I’m really not sure to be honest. Yeah she’s very black all over.

@Duckbreeder2020 they have some feathers on the sides of their feet but not fully fluffy.

Another question… is it normal for a hen to gather the troops when there are two roosters in the flock or is our black hen actually a rooster that we gendered wrong. She’s the one to do the roosting call at the end of the night and actually nudges the others to go in. Hank, who seems to be the Alfa, is the first one in and out always tends to listen to her at the end of the night.
