We got these birds as peeps 10 weeks ago. A few of them were better than three days old. They were sold as Welsummers, and we got two Wellies out of 15. So here you go, HELP!

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, for some reason the opening post (and the pictures included) didn't quite work out. My apologies. I did throw them in there, dunno why it didn't work. Hmmmm.

They all look like oegb mixes...are they bantams? I would take #10 off your hands in a heartbeat!!!!

Their colorations are amazing. Some of them look like Old Master paintings. Numbers 4 and 10 are gorgeous!

I'd love to know what these colors are called, in fact all of them. You take such good pictures --and the numbering is so helpful -- that a quick color lesson would be great.

As I stated on the opening of the thread, I have no idea what these breeds are. Thanks for the input.

These were billed as Welsummers, with the exception of the following. And since they are bantams, with a consensus, we feel extremely cheated.

The black & gold #15 was sold as a bantam. We have three that look exactly like this one.

We're not greatly attached to any of these birds with the exception of #4 "Awesome Bill from Dawsonville". Though they all have nice personalities, and none are very "pecky".

ON PHOTOS. My usual subject matter is usually traveling quite alot faster, between 60 and 120 mph faster in fact, lol. The real challenge was shooting when they are holding their necks still. Which is very little. I appreciate your praise, to be sure, as it comes rarely from anyone outside of my family. They are rather nice photos, with a neutral background and decent lighting. And they are beautiful birds, just NOT what we were expecting. Not at ALL what we were expecting, and in fact I am more than a little PO'd at the seller.

The TWO Welsummers of the 15 we purchased are beautiful birds, and are TWICE the size of these other birds. And are BOTH hens. Which figures.

Thanks again for the input.

Well I just made the deal with the original seller, he's going o trade 1:1 for Wellie hens, and throw in a full size roo for us.

So all is well that ends well.

Thanks guys!
