Bresse Gauloise in USA?

Super exciting to watch breeders work with this great breed..I'm so happy that they are here now.

One of my Bresse pullets has been roosting on the fence for the past two nights. I get her off ok but am afraid she is going to get into the neighbors yard. I trimmed the feathers off of one wing tonight.

Does anyone else have flying Bresse?

we have 3 white Bresse pullets
one likes to roost up in the rafters of the coop
so yes they can fly rather high if they wish

I just purchased 4 straight run black bresse chicks in California. I looked at the breeding stock and noticed the rooster had some gold fleck on his neck feathers. Is this normal? Also 3 out of the 4 chicks are solid black fluff while the 4th has gold dusting on its head. Is that normal for the breed? Could it be a sex indication?
