Brewers yeast making 3 week old ducklings sneeze, breath loudly.

Than sis for the replies guys. No way is he that bad!! That video is awful why hasn't he taken the poor little thing to a vet?!? Mine is much much quieter than that I can't here it unless everything is silent! Should I be able to see all the way through his nares as a straight line. As in in one name and out the other? Because I can't see all the way through but I can see a top line of light if you know what I mean but he does flush his nares. Not as much as the other one though hopefully the vet will ring today snd I will see what she can do .

I can see all the way through with all my ducks Mc maybe the lil one just has some feed stuck in there and the vet can help you get it out. let us know what you find out.

Hi guys so I think he had some dander or smoothing in his nare because when they were in the bath this morning and he would put his head under and nibble about on the bottom, only a few bubbles came out so I tried to encourage him to keep blowing so I put my hand under the water and then he would nibble my hand for ages and now the bubbles are coming out faster and bigger and I can see all the way through. The wheezing/ heavy breathing has seemed to have reduced.

sounds like you have solved it, I'm sure things can get packed in there that's why we encourage everyone to make sure their ducklings can have a waterer they can dunk their heads into, Not that you didn't but having one sure helps. and swims in the tub where they clean out their nares and swim under water, Plus it's so entertaining to watch them play torpedo

Hi miss Lydia thought I would give you an update the duckling is still breathing heavily/wheezing and I am starting to worry the other day they were sitting on my lap asleep and they were both clicking when they blew out? Should I see a vet because the vet for the chickens didn't come in the end because she rang up and told me what to do. Do you think I should ring her back and see what she can do?

I would dif call the vet, that doesn't sound right. It would be good for her to see them since both are doing it now.

Have called the vet surgery the avian vet is not working until beginning of next week, will they be ok? The second duckling doesn't do it really it was just that one time that he/she clicked for a couple of breaths. Haven't heard either of then click since then.
