here are some pics of the baby’s! ( let me know if they sent haha )
So sweet. 🥰

I'd try a bowl with a lid for their water needs. You can still use the waterer that you have. But a deeper dish would definitely benefit them.

And don't worry, I know how messy ducklings are!

I had sort of the set up you had for the water on day one, but underestimated how small they’d be! They decided they liked swimming in the water more than drinking haha. But they have definitely grown a bit this week and i’ll try to switch out the water back to the container. Thanks so much!!

You used a container with a lid? Or just a container? The lid keeps them from getting in the container. You have to cut the hole big enough so that they can't get inside the bowl.

It is very important for ducks to have water deep enough to stick their whole head in. The waterer you have does not allow these ducklings to do that.

Some pics of my first duckling brooder set up. You can see the container I used for water. It was a cool whip container. I offered two types of water, probiotics and fresh. Always offer two if giving one with supplements.

You might think this is a lot for little ducklings, but those ducklings are messy and I had to clean shavings out every day. Muscovy can climb as well, so eventually, I had to put cardboard around the outer edge. 🤣

It had holes in the lid, but they were a bit big for them on day one. The waterer I had shown in the picture had worked until just now because they have grown too big to use it. I watched and made sure they could dip their heads in the first one, and they could, but not anymore. I have switched it back to the container.
