Wait a minute, that mare looks SO familiar........not sure if it is the same one but the face markings looks so much like her.

The breeder was in MO, sent to a friend of mine who we had horses to train for our class semester in horse training and breaking. So this mare was a broodmare was about four or five years old it was in 1985-86 year that she had her in traning and when she was done her 120 day training (and more), the mare was sent back to MO to her owner and the owner was so pleased with riding her now. I think now she is a very aged broodmare or was sold shortly after her arrival to the farm. Man, if I can remember the stallion the owner had, it was a grey, either Egyptian or Russian. Lovely stud.

I had Breyer horses when I was young, with my first model, the grey Arab foal, back in 1973 I believe. And I got up to almost 156 horses before I sold them all after I went into college. Now I have the Civil War horses which I would sell, the legendary favorite of mine, El Pastor, and a few Paso Finos. Can not remember if I still have the Galienco but they are all packed away in the closet except for the CW horses.

Yup .. there were some good ones ...

She is also a ggrandaughter of Khemosabi ... I'm kinda proud of her.

I LOVE Khemosabi! But my old boss didn't like him. He was the first Arabian I knew besides Aramus and Sakr. Morafic was another good one!

Breyer horses were known for putting out classic look alikes and I'm impressed with the quality as the years goes on. Itz a long ways from 1970's!

They're all hand painted so no two are identical, or so they say. And they're fairly realistic and have been available for a long time. Perfect collectors' horses.

No, I don't really collect them. I have read a few Collectors' Guides, though.
