Lav orp chicks are all lavender at hatch, you may have gotten a buff or a lemon cuckoo.
If it ends up being a Lemon that would be awesome.

Breeder told me it was a mottled gene why it was yellow it would turn lavender its little wing feathers are coming in and they are white????????

When the chick is grown up and has different color then lavender orp you should prob call her or talk to her and tell her. She might give you your money back or sometin.

Well now i look at the base of her feathers by her skin it is lavender!!
Just the wings look pure white but shes just a week old so all the wings feathers arent out completely out.

Hello,
I hatched 4 lavender orphington chicks and most of them came out yellow and now are completely lavender. I have pics of my 10 week old chick in another post.
So, yes in my small level of experience - lavender orphington chicks can be born yellow & change.

Also, my mottled Java - which is black and white, was a yellow chick to start.

Take care, Krista

Here is a photo of her right when she was born & then later that day.
Fluffy yellow chick. The other chick was born with more lavender.
