bringing home 3 month pullets!

I love your coop and set up!!! If you decide to get more chickens......and you will....
You will need a bigger coop. Start drawing up the plans!!!! :lau
Good luck & God bless!!!!

I would decide how many eggs you need per week before buying more. Keep in mind best layers may produce a dozen eggs per week for every three hens.

based on the breeds, my 3 should produce around a dozen a week once they start laying I will keep my "flock" at 3 until I expand the setup (maybe never) a dozen a week should be good for my purpose :)

For space suggested allowance is 2-3 sq ft/bird for house floor space and run space is 5-10 sq. ft per bird. As long as you have that you should be fine.

View attachment 1508150 thanks for all of the helpful tips! please add anything that comes to your mind! as a slightly panicked and exited newbie I can take all the help I can get!
Congrats on your new birds!

Are the deck and stairs water tight?

Where in this world are you located?
Climate is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, then it's always there!

yes! they are watertight! I live in the California bay area, It is nearly always foggy, it only gets to the low 40s (Fahrenheit) and sometimes gets to the upper 80s in the summer (we have no extreme weather)
