For those of you not using the automatic egg turner for the Brinsea Octo 20, how simple is it to do by hand? Do you have to tilt the whole unit on its side a few degrees or is there a moving cradle inside that you can tilt? I am getting ready to order one and see that many don't use a turner. I have noticed that the sides are cut at an angle on the bottom. But by looking at it, that seems to be a pretty large angle. Any input is appreciated. I guess just by looking at the unit, its not easy for me to understand how simple it is lol! A picture is worth a thousand words too!

It's very simple to turn the Octagon 20 Eco by hand - if you have the time to do it 3 to 7 times a day. If you don't, you're better off just to get the auto-turning cradle. Personally, I have two Octagon 20's - one with an auto-turning cradle and one without.

The incubator is designed in an octagon shape for turning by hand - you just rotate the whole thing towards you or away from you, all the way so that it's sitting on the next side of the octagon. This way, you never have to open the incubator to turn the eggs - the whole incubator itself is turned.

I realize, upon reading that back to myself, that it sounds confusing. Maybe someone else can explain it better?
