Thanks
@The Moonshiner
This is my experience, and I know a lot of people have had good hatches with the NR360 but I have not, at all, literally they were killing the eggs

I put a wifi Govee in the NR 360 early last year and recorded some awful temperature swings that just got worse as the days went on. I have 2 from a friend and neither will hold the temperature well, maybe it's the ambient temperature (60's), I tried putting a cover over them too and it didn't help. These are I think 2020 models. As I said, a lot of people really love the NR 360, so maybe the two I've tried are just duds and it was totally bad luck. But my quitter rate was about 50% in the NR 360 and with the
Brinsea running in the same room, at the same time, with the same eggs, I had only 1 or 2 eggs that quit.
I have 3
Brinsea Ovation 56's, one is the Advance and 2 are the EX. I do not recommend the Advance as your only incubator, it is wonderful and I love it for days 1 through 18, but I cannot get the humidity high enough for lock down. It is absolutely wonderful to start the hatch, but I ALWAYS use the EX for lockdown now.
Love love love the EX, you have to have the humidity blocks in it though, do not skip this. I don't buy the name brand ones, I get humidity wicks off
Amazon and cut them to fit. I use the wifi Govees to check the calibration of the units before setting eggs, I did have one EX that I had to adjust the calibration right out of the box, after that it controlled the temperature and kept the humidity very well.
Brinsea is not cheap, I was able to find two of mine used on marketplace, the parts for them aren't too bad. One of the used ones I got needed a new turning motor. On the older models always check to make sure the gear is well seated on the shaft, it walks off the shaft to the point the gear doesn't engage the plastic piece that makes the egg baskets turn.
The
Brinsea lid is a PITA the clean after hatching though. The screws are finicky to get out, my used ones have some cross threaded and a few broken posts. The base is easy to clean though.
I you have any specific questions let me know!
