Which brinsea?
I have a nr360 and a brinsea maxi ll advance that holds 24 eggs. That's the only advantage I've experienced. It holds 2 more eggs.
Performance wise I've gotten similar hatch rates. With the brinsea I've had eggs get wonky when turned and sometimes have to straighten them out. It's also less roomy for hatched chicks. Neither is a huge deal. But ya I got the brinsea NIB in auction off ebay so it wasn't near full price.
New full price I'd definitely pick another nr360.
I've heard mixed reviews on that model.
Idk about that one either. I've never had the 28 or 56 ones. What about the 28 ex?
I put a wifi Govee in the NR 360 early last year and recorded some awful temperature swings that just got worse as the days went on. I have 2 from a friend and neither will hold the temperature well, maybe it's the ambient temperature (60's), I tried putting a cover over them too and it didn't help. These are I think 2020 models. As I said, a lot of people really love the NR 360, so maybe the two I've tried are just duds and it was totally bad luck. But my quitter rate was about 50% in the NR 360 and with the Brinsea running in the same room, at the same time, with the same eggs, I had only 1 or 2 eggs that quit.
