My husband just bought me the mini advance brinsea incubator.

I've read good things about it, but was wondering how people here felt about them. Are they really good? User friendly? Good hatch rate? Is the company good about warranty coverage?

I've had a 40% hatch rate with my other bator and I'm really excited to try the new one out when it gets here!

I have a mini eco from brinsea and I absolutely love it!! the Tempature stays stable most of the time, I only have to adjust it like 2 times if at all during the 21 days. I have had mine running all summer and no problems yet! Would definetly reccomend this brand. My hatch rates have been amazing, almost all the eggs that I have put in it have hatched.

Thanks drover! That's what I read! That the hatch rate in these incubators was nothing short of miraculous.

I hope more stories pop up about this brand! I'm so excited for it to get here!

I have the mini advance. All I have to do is add water every few days and take the chicks out when they hatch. It's a great incubator and I've had 100% hatches before. I did have what I thought to be a warranty issue. During one of the batches of eggs that I used it on the fan started to make a strange noise. I was worried it would quit on me in the middle of the incubation and the eggs that I had in it were very expensive. I called Brinsea and told them what was happening. The lady on the phone told me they would send me another fan ASAP. I got it in a couple of days and kept a close eye on the incubator. It turned out to work all the way to the end of incubation. After it was finished I was cleaning it up and about to change the fan and discovered that it was some chick fuzz that was built up on the fan housing that was causing the noise. I cleaned it out and everything was fine. I also have the Brinsea Octagon Eco 20 with the turner. It's also a great incubator. When I buy expensive eggs I always use the Mini Advance. I just feel more comfortable with it and expensive eggs.
Your husband is a heck of a nice guy for buying that for you!

I have a mini advance, and I've been pleased with it. My worst hatch was 4/7, but some of that was the eggs I was using. I figure the ones that never even start, or quit a few days in is a reflection on the egg, not the incubator. I've only had one or two be fully formed but dead in shell, and have hatched 60 or so chicks at this point.

I did have something go wrong with it, and had to ship it back in to be repaired, which was a pain, but it works great now.

I ordered the Octagon 20 ECO egg incubator, it should be here on Wednesday. If anyone has any tips for using it, please reply.

I just love mine!!! We ended up with 2, because my only complaint is that it only holds 7 eggs, so you really need 2 bators to hatch a dozen eggs.

We had a GREAT hatch! 7/12...and my best hatch yet!

It's also much easier to clean than other one I have!

I love ours.......I loan it out to schools and daycares and they have no trouble running it also.....(I do "check" in on them and it...)
We have hatched Seramas to Golden Pheasants with no problems....
Pretty much "set it and forget it" on temp settings and turning...
