Brinsea Maxi 24 external room temp alarm

I'm on my second hatch with a new incubator (Brinsea Maxi 24). Loved it the first time we used it. But this time I'm having issues with the external room temp alarm going off the past three nights. It's gotten down to about 62F in the house overnight. We heat with fireplaces that I'm not comfortable leaving unattended overnight and I'm worried about the eggs. Any suggestions? I don't have a warmer room to move it to. We are 15 days into incubation. What would be a safe way to insulate it? Thanks so much.

Possible ways to make one room warmer:

--electric space heater
--crockpot running all night, making a big pot of soup
--oven running all night, slowly roasting something to eat the next day
--heatlamp

Of course you would have to be careful the incubator does not over heat (don't shine a heatlamp directly on it, don't put a crockpot too close, etc.) And any of these would work better in a small room than a large one, so moving the incubator to a different room might help a bit if you try one of these.

I would probably start by sitting it on top of a blanket or a folded towel. That should reduce heat loss from the bottom, without any danger of blocking ventilation holes.

I think there are several small ventilation holes around the edges, so I'm not sure if there is a safe way to insulate the upper surface without blocking any of them.

Maybe you could put a big box or storage tub upside down over the top, so it has lots of air inside but is still sheltered from the rest of the room? Or an upside down laundry basket with a blanket over it might do the same thing. (I'm not sure how big of an air space it really needs to get enough ventilation, so this might not actually work.)

I did put a towel underneath the incubator, and I've been making sure to get the room warm right before evening. So far, so good. No more alarms. The room temp in the morning is about 64 (it had previously been going to 63 or 62). Fingers crossed we have a few chicks hatch. I'm in lockdown and a few seem viable.
