I have never hatched my own eggs before but I want an incubator that does it all for me. Is this worth spending 200 dollars on? I only have 10 hens and a roo so I only need to hatch like 6 eggs every couple years for our continued egg supply.

I have the Brinsea Ovation 28 Advance and love it. It’s well worth spending the money on a Brinsea. The advance doesn’t regulate humidity (as you probably know you’ll need the EX model for that) but it’s not that tricky or time consuming to do that yourself. Otherwise it pretty much does everything for you. If your eggs are gunna hatch they’ll hatch in a Brinsea.
The Ovation Advance has a humidity display but it just gives the reading, it won’t automatically maintain humidity. I’m not sure whether the mini advance has this feature but hopefully someone else can say if Brinsea doesn’t list it on their specs? Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I guess I need to learn how to read Hahahaha. So I need the EX model? Explains why amazon tried selling me a candler and a humidity gauge with my order!
In your opinion what’s the best incubator out there that will do everything even the humidity control? I have never hatched eggs before but not interested in doing it on a large scale. The Ovation Advance has a humidity display but it just gives the reading, it won’t automatically maintain humidity. I’ve only had Briseas. I buy my hatching eggs so if a hatch were to fail it would be costly so I spend that money on getting a brand I know to be reliable. That’s not to say some other brands aren’t great and I was almost tempted to try an R-com but stuck with Brinsea in the end as they’d always done so well. If you go for a Brinsea it definitely sounds like you’ll want an EX model. In your opinion what’s the best incubator out there that will do everything even the humidity control?
