Hi!

Historically I have hatched with a homemade incubator and have had good results. I'm not going to be able to turn eggs and monitor temps as often so I got the Brinsea Mini 2 advanced. Is it as easy as they make it sound?Anything to be careful of? It didn't appear to have a humidity reading but I don't have it up and running yet.
School me, chicken peeps...

Hi Amy, I don’t think your Brinsea mini II model comes with humidity gauge and automatic water feeder. The EX model is the fully automatic one, which I got. I think on this mini II, there are 3 models to choose from, w/ 3 different pricing. I love mine, this is the 2nd time I’m using it, after experiencing Ovation 28 EX, I’ve decided to pick mini II EX, for smaller hatch without baby sitting it since I work and travel a lot.

Brinseas are AWESOME! Definitely would add a hygrometer/thermometer so you can check accuracy of your bator thermostat and I believe there is somewhere to add water...I have Octagons but the mini's have great reviews! Good luck! :jumpy

how was your experience with the MINI 2 advance? i have both the mini 2 advance and maxi 2 ex models, but i am getting really frustrated with the NO humidity option... educate me
