Tricia, I have only tried incubating in a home-made incubator, with no success yet. I was wondering about humidity control. If I read the specs correctly on the various models, this does not have any mechanism for controlling humidity. How did you do it? Did you have any trouble keeping it within acceptable range? (I am fairly new to chickens and incubating, so please forgive my ignorance.)

You are correct that there is not humidity control per say. There are 2 troughs to hold water in the bottom of the incubator and there is a sliding mechanism on top to control humidity and ventilation. I use a thermometer/hygrometer combo and have had very little trouble controlling my humidity. I am in Florida though, so it's pretty easy to control humidity. I dry hatch most of my eggs (except duck). As I said to a previous person I would not recommend this one for duck eggs because of where the fan is located. I find that it dries duck eggs out a tad to much during hatch....but for everything else it has been great.
