The only hatch I had lower than 90% was my lower humidity experiment, so you are going to be looking at 35+ chicks I would be willing to bet. That many in one round could steer me towards a 40 instead of another 20. I think you have to have suffered with styrofoam to truly appreciate how easy Brinsea is

I'm locking down 26 white crested black polish on Sunday, due next Wednesday. Their eggs are skinny, so I fit 28 into the 20, with one infertile and one early quitter. I know Amy gets sick of hearing me talk about how great Brinsea is, but it really is so much more simple and fun than styrofoam. If you are hatching constantly, it just can't be beat. There have only been 5 days since Christmas that mine wasn't running, and I don't worry because I have a 2 year warrantyI agree with the Styrofoam comment. The Brinsea is as close to set and forget as your going to get. It is awesome! If I get I get 35 chicks I will be thrilled. Can not wait until Thursday! (Hatch Day) Did you say you had a hatch coming up this weekend?

You did register yours, didn't you?
Oh, I know that Amy knows how good they are. I just like giving her a hard time because of the LG. I'm impressed that she has the hatch rates she does in that microwave. It's easy in a Brinsea, but she has to really be working to hatch like she does. I was able to justify the cost as an investment. The first three hatches paid for the incubator, and now I'm covering all my feed costs. I told my wife that if we can just break even this will be the best hobby we ever hadYep I registered it the day after I got it.
You and I can team up and annoy Amy on how great the Brinsea is. Haha! Seriously after using it so far it is the only way to go. Money well spent in my opinion. Good luck with your hatch.

Yes, this is the first year I started hatching and selling. I have several breeds, and have been hatching different ones to see what sells best, and at what age. In the spring the chicks sold pretty good. Since Easter, the started pullets are the big sellers. Fancy chicks (silkies and polish) sell pretty good as day olds, but the dual purpose pullets are my best all around sellersAre you selling the chicks you hatch out?
I haven't made a dime, but have been breaking even since January. Thats a winGood to know. Maybe I can start doing the same in my area after I get my flock built up. Would be nice to pay for part of the incubator.
