Two hatchers so far!

Two hatchers so far!
That's awesome! Thats about my shedule. I usually get one or two on day 20. It will be like popcorn by tomorrow. They look good for fresh hatchers, too. Not too wet. I think you're going to have a great hatch

Are you still running 99.5 on the display, or did you bump to 100.0? Whatever it is right now, leave it. Once I started getting one early hatcher, the rest were like clockwork on day 21

One egg pipped on the wrong end. What is the proper thing to do in this situation.
There is nothing proper in hatching chicks...lol

I have never experienced that, but I know others have. I'm sure Amy will chime in. That's one of those things where I would do nothing. If it hatched, good, but I wouldn't assist it. Amy would
Yes, Amy is an assiter (look another new hatching word-I don't like assistant in this case lol). I would give it the normal amount of time as long as the membranes were nice and white and there was movement. After 18 hours I would increase the size of the pip hole to check on the positioning. If it looked like it was in a position it could hatch from I would put it back and give it more time. If it's in some messed up position, like mine was (Foot over beak) then I would assist if the blood vessels had absorbed.

Two hatchers so far!
Yay!!!

Thank you Poultryman89 and scflock for your answers to my incubator questions. I enjoy reading all the posts about incubating and hatching. Have a great day all.
