New to hatching and this incubator. Someone mentioned putting shelf-liner material down on the floor so the chicks can have more footing. Do you have to put something down so as to not cover the water wells I'm assuming? Suggestions appreciated. I have vinyl shelf materials, but it doesn't have holes in it.......any other suggestions? My first time using this...TIA

I use paper towels in mine. Can you post a pic of your setup?

I use a shelf liner that doesn't have holes, so I get my hole puncher out and punch away!
I have to fold the shelf liner in half to be able to get holes in the middle.
