Brinsea question

Hello I just loaded my brinsea Maxi 2 incubator with 20 eggs, my question is, the incubator has a humidty vent, Do I want to keep it open, closed or halfway?

What is the humidity with the vent fully open?
What is the humidity with the vent half closed?

You will have to have some vent so the eggs/chicks can breathe.

While it's not impossible to do it without one, it would be a good ideal to have one to keep track of the humidity inside the incubator. Throughout the year the ambient humidity changes and can change the inside of the incubator, especially when it rains.

I'd probably leave it fully open up until lockdown, then I don't know what to tell you to do with it then. If BirdsBeesTrees has the same model incubator then do exactly what she does if you don't get a hygrometer.
