USPS sucks) and I just want to be sure of a few things

1. They arrived at 9:30 am, I am going to leave them in the carton, pointy end down for 24hrs to allow air cell to setttle/reattach as needed.
2. ????? I will be incubating them in the Brinsea Eco Mini on their sides so is it ok that they are settling pointy side down but will then be set on their sides????
3. ????The Brinsea has this little thing on the side of it, looks like a tube with a black cap in the top, does that black cap stay in or does it come out for venting???? I can't find anything about it in the papers and yet I read about vent holes that were covered on another incubator that needed to be popped out and thought this might be the same.

I feel a panic attack coming on

If they are pointy end down and then put on their sides they should be fine, I turn mine on their sides until I put them all in the incubator pointy side down and they hatch fine! And that plug does sound like the vent hole. You leave them plugged in until the chicks start externally pipping.
Good luck on your hatch!!!
