I dropped and broke my incubator so I guess I won't be needing this thermometer after all. It is brand new right out of the box. It has been turned on once but other than that it is unused. I wanted to return it to Cutler Supply but was told they would only exchange it or give me store credit and I would really prefer to get my money back.

Paypal would be best but I will accept other forms of payment. I will ship USPS flat rate priority within 3 business days of cleared payment.

How does this work exactly? Do you have to stick that probe in water??

Not as far as I have been told. I was going to just suspend it into the incubator through one of the vent holes with the probe landing at egg level. From my understanding that would work to measure the air temperature. Another option would be to stick the probe in a water wiggler toy (http://www.partypalooza.com/Merchan...ct_Code=WaterWiggler&Category_Code=gameprizes) to get an idea of the temperature inside the eggs. The thermometer comes highly recommended on here in the "Incubating and Hatching" thread so I am sure someone there would be able to answer better than me. I never got the chance to use it since I just got it in the mail on Monday and my incubator is in a whole mess of pieces as of last night :o(
