Some people add a few of the leaves to the salad's, and I guess you can also make tea and wine's from them.I know! And some people eat them too! I've never had a good one... But I also don't know what to look for! Haha more research![]()

Thank you! I've been gardening for years but this will be my first year growing for rabbits... I think this would be so good for them!@Barred Rock Mama This will help to give you a start on your research with those:

I’ve noticed our ducks love them also! We feed the greens to our rabbits and the ducks just eat the whole flower right out of the yard.Dandelion's are good for most animal's, and the whole plant is edible. They have some vitamin's in them, and even calcium. Most people only look at them as being weed's, though.![]()
Now you know how good these are for them.I’ve noticed our ducks love them also! We feed the greens to our rabbits and the ducks just eat the whole flower right out of the yard.
I feed them anything. We have a 40 acre alfalfa field beside our house and sometimes I pull grass from the sides since we won't be using that. We don't spray for chemicals unless it's in the field so then I pull from the front lawn away from the field. I often take the bottom of dog kennels out and stick the rabbits out in the lawn to graze. What do you feed your rabbits from your yard? Types of grass/plants. We have such a wide variety of grasses and weeds growing in our yard.
Yes! Corn is a little hard so don't be discouraged if you don't come out with a good crop, but it just takes trial and error. Good luck!
The thing with corn is it's wind pollinated. Plant it in blocks, not rows, for better pollination, and thus a better crop. You can also hand pollinate, but that takes some dedication and work. Never done it, myself.Yeah I tried corn last year but it was a flop so I did a little more research on it and hopefully this year will be better
Woah! That sounds awesome- I live quite a ways from Lansing so I will not be able to come but that is so neat! The thing with corn is it's wind pollinated. @Barred Rock Mama, Michigan BYCers are getting together in Lansing on June 25th for a potluck/picnic. You are certainly welcome to come!
My chickens (no rabbits here) get a lot of weeds from my garden. They also get trimmings/seeds/cores/scraps from whatever I can find for them in the kitchen too. They sure do love dandelions!
