broad breasted turkey blood in stool

Well I heard that sometimes coccidiosis can have no other symptoms.
But I would think that there would be some loose or other strange poops first, as well as other symptoms.
Here's a thread about it.

Hope its not that as it doesnt sound very good.

Here's the second opinion, and as they say at the bloody fecies stage one would think that a bird that bad off would have shown some signs first.

Good luck to you and your birds.

Blood in stool ? could this be like other animals if it is bright red it means its near the rectum like a blood vessel and if it looks like red colored coffee grounds its more of an Internal problem.
if its bright red can a Turkey have himroids

I have a question while the subject is on stool or droppings I have seen normal piles of poop with a dull orange color and I have not seen this before.
I have not seen any of my Turkeys acting different all very active eating like horses and drinking.
has anybody seen this before and should I have any concerns.
they get laying pellets mixed with game feed and free range.

I've had a great deal of observation over the past couple months and its quite a rainbow when you think about it.
Here's what I've seen from my Turkeys.

Super Green & Runny : They ate a bunch of different wild greens
Greenish & Chunky : A few wild greens, or garden plants plus mostly pellets
Brown & Chunky + Water : Kitchen scraps and bugs
Solid + Water : Random bugs mixed with pellets / Just a hot day
Odd Rusty / Orange & Runny : They found a bunch of bugs and ate mostly them
Orange & Runny & Stinky : Got into some bugs they really like
Perfectly Normal : A cooler day when they just ate pellets
Really Stinky and looks like Oil : Cacel discharge

Might apply to what you see, might not. Either way its oddly interesting and accurate.
So if they were forraging it may mean that they had some insects mixed in. If not, I'm unsure.
Good luck.

Thanks for the Info that would explain the dull or rusty orange color and they do free range.
There is just a rainbow of poop colors to think of .
I do think that's one of your first signals most of the times on how healthy your birds are.

Yeah, its a good site. I've been watching for this as we get lots of wild birds poopin up here.
I was also concerned a few times over oddities in the rainbow of poo. However if the odd poop clears up with a change in diet its most likely not a coccidosis infestation.
The pictures I saw had a very clear bloody discharge when the infestation has taken hold. Before that I read there will be more of a chunky goober like hot dog casings from the damaged bits being shed.
Still I have Luckily not had to see it first hand.
Sorry I dont remember where I saw them. Its was durring a day off searching.
