I am sorry for your loss. Since your chicken may have had an infectious respiratory disease which makes flock mates carriers, I would be reluctant to re-home your other hen, since she could spread disease to another’s flock. It might be better to get her a friend. Many will give away an extra chicken eagerly to get their numbers down if the have too many chickens. I would check in your state BYC thread, and explain that you need a new friend for your only hen.
