I have been incubating a bantam egg and it's due Monday or Tuesday next week. I have a bantam hen, could be the true mother, that has gone brody. If I give her the egg will she hatch it and take care of the chick after only sitting on it for a week?

Depends on the hen. They are all different. Some are great moms to anything, and others will try to kill everything. Most fall somewhere in between.

I would try for at least two days with ‘4 marked fake eggs’ if she stays on the eggs. To determine if she is seriously breeding. Then you can change one fake egg with you're halfway incubated egg (another mark with pencil ✏️) .

After the chick has hatched and the mother leaves the nest you should throw away the fake eggs.

Better not wait until the chick has hatched. If the broody hatches the egg, she will accept it. Chances are quit big she wil reject and hurt a chick from the incubator.

Sorry to hear you have only one egg . It can be hard for a chick to be an only child growing up with adults.

@Clap p 1 , how is you're setup? Are there other chickens that can disturb the broody?.
Is it safe enough for a chick? Can you post photos of the space?

She was sitting on a fake egg and the two a day i usually get. I have already given her the egg and just keep taking the fresh eggs from her. She is staying put. Yes there are other chickens. I do have other incubator eggs, will give her another that is due to hatch day after the one she has. It is an araucana I paid dearly for so can 't, read as don't want to,give her more. Hadn't thought about an only child problem.
