Broiler butchering question

At nine weeks old, my biggest broilers weigh in at 6.7 pounds. About what will they be dressed out? Should I wait longer before butchering?

It depends on what you like. A 6.5 pound live bird should dress out at about 70%, so about 4.5 pounds. Store chickens are usually in the 3.5 pound range, so you ould have a good sized bird if you butcher now.

I would wait. How many do you have? They eat a TON at this age. From 9-10 weeks on 26% i got mega size.

Ditto. Killed mine at 11 weeks. Smallest dressed was 6.7lbs. Biggest was 7.4
