Broken Brittle/Frayed Feathers

Hi all,
My hen has had broken, brittle, frayed wing and tail feathers for a while. She dose have bumble foot and is on the mend. I do not have a rooster and she isn't moulting at the moment. Wondering what the cause of this is and what I can do to help her. Thanks for any replies.

She was born on the 28th of April last year. I will try to get some photo's as soon as possible.

So she's about 1 1/2 yrs old or so...if that's the case, then the feathers are worn. Likely she will molt sometime this fall and those will be replaced.

Thank you for your reply. I thought it must be molting, but the feathers have been like this for a while. Hopefully she will look better soon, after the molt.

Did you figure out what was causing this?
I have 3 girls with broken tail feathers as well and it's been that way for a while.

She took a while to molt, but was soon looking better.
