Saw my top chicken Francine was hobbling around and noticed her 2 toes on her right foot were crooked. She was keeping her distance from the rest of the flock and was hanging out in the coop instead of free ranging. Brought her inside to soak her feet in warm water and get a better look and 2 toes are crooked. I leave to head 7 hours away for the holidays in 2 days, should I bother splinting it? Do you straighten it then splint (ouch) or should I just let it heal on own since I wont be here to isolate and rebandage?

I threw some treats down when I went to catch her and she was eating and moving around so shes not in so much pain that she is stuck in one place starving or anything. Thoughts??
