Welcome to BYC. I would not remove her from the flock as long as she is not being picked on excessively. Reintroduction of a removed bird almost always creates serious problems.

I would tend to agree with Sourland, as long as she is not being picked on and gets to food and water OK she may be better off with her flock. There are many things that can go wrong with joints, including injuries and infections. If she was able to walk on it for a time it is less likely that it is broken. Swelling can be seen with either an infection or injury like a sprain.

If you use apple cider vinegar - do not use a metal water pan, there will be a chemical reaction. Instead use a plastic bowl or waterer.
