broken ducks leg

Hi everyone I'm new to this website. I have a duck that got hit by a car and his left (thigh) leg is broken. There was no way we could splinter it because the break is up top of his leg so we folded his leg and tap his leg to his body. He's eatting drink. We also but his in a small area away from the other ducks because the other ducks kept walking on him. Will this work for him to heal? I read that ducks heal fast. If this sounds ok how long should I kept him alone? Thanks for the help!

Definitely post on the links you were given. I think that is a problematic area for DIU treatment. Is there any chance you would take him to a vet?
