broken ducks leg

Hi everyone my Lil duck got hit by a car and his leg is broken ( up by the thigh) we tried to splinter it but the break was to high. So we folded his leg and taped it to his body. We also are kepting him out of our duck cage. He's eating drinking and pooping. Does this recovery sound OK? Is there any suggestions?

Sad to read about the accident. If you can upload a photo that would help- there may be a certain number of posts you have to make before you can upload pics. We shall see.

Ducks can recover from awful accidents. I would start putting poultry vitamins in his water twice a week while he recovers.
