So I was just messing with the incubator and accidentally knocked something into two eggs. I believe one wasn’t any good anyways, but the other cracked a lot. The membrane is still intact and it should’ve already hatched by now. Any advice?

Also, should I remove the broken egg as it is leaking?

I threw away the bad egg, it quit developing around day 10. I put a paper towel over the other one. There’s some egg yolk leaked into the incubator, but I got some of it out.😬

What day is this? You said it should have hatched but it doesn't look like it's ready to.

If it truly is due to hatch today, I would keep that membrane moist, as it's now shrink-wrapped onto the chick. You can put a little light oil like olive or coconut oil on what part of it you can get to. Otherwise it's not going to be able to pip out.

You're probably going to have to help that one out though. Here's a great article about how to do it.
