Broken eggs

My ducks are only laying about every 3 days but every time the egg is broken. Any ideas why this would be. I use lots of bedding.

It could be because they try to eat them or something or because they step on them, how many ducks to you have? Do you have chickens in with them to?

Only 2 ducks, one male, one female. They are in a large pen all on their own

Well that is weird, maybe the male steps on them by accident or the female. Why do you only have two?

Good news, this morning we had an unbroken egg.! Yay.

I had 3 females and a male but two for away on me and I can't catch them.

That is why I am so upset about the eggs because I really want to hatch them out

Do you have a net to catch the ducks with?

No, I tried a little boat and rowed around the pond like a mad fool but was unable to get them. I have revamped my duck pen , now called duck dynasty , so they can't get out. Im hoping the other ducks will come to the fence. And maybe round them up that way.
