I want to improve in showing birds at poultry shows. I seem to have some issues with breaks in the feathers and the tips being ragged. I have very great looking birds, but with harsh winter and mites, I doubt that there is any way to fix the feathers. Is the only way to molt them out and grow new feathers, also is it safe to try and force them to molt premature.
