My tom turkey got into a fight with ???? Anyway most of his tail feathers are broken off and two places on the side of him the only thing left where his feathers were are about 1 inch long pieces of his quills. I was told that he will not grow new feathers unless I pull out the broken ones. Is that true? If it is how do I do that. That looks painful, the quills are huge where they go into the skin! Any help?
