I had my first successful chick come out of the egg! But the little one died a few hours after birth! What did I do wrong? What happened? I used an incubator! No others have peeped yet but they are still alive. If I shine a light into the incubator at certain angles I can catch a glimpse of there air sacs and a little hint of the veins on the top.

That happens. There could be lots of reasons. Temperature, turning, humidity, heredity, breeder nutrition, age of breeders and on and on.
What day were they on when the one hatched?

Yes I did because she was struggling for like 4 hours I did it exactly like I saw online there was no bleeding or anything!

Sometimes it takes much longer than 4 hours. Opening the incubator during hatching can drop humidity too low.

There are so many things that could have gone wrong...I hope your other chicks hatch out healthy!

Sometimes it takes my chicks all day to hatch. Usually I only help them if they have pipped and haven’t done anything for a day...

When I look at the picture the chick appears to have a yolk sac attached to the chick's backend. The yolk has to be completely absorbed by the chick's body before hatching. Sorry Alisha, this chick hatched too early to survive. Intervening with hatching is risky. Even an hour early can mean death for the chick.
