Broken leg!!!!

Help! One of my duck hens has a broken leg. Do I just wrap it? Can I give her anything? On another note, my husband's stupid puppy is getting kicked into the goat pen. And she's going to stay there too!!!!!

Splinting can be done if you feel or see the actual broken bone. If you can't really know for sure that the leg is broken, it may be better to confine in a dog crate with food and water within reach. Lots of padding and vet wrap strips work well. Some use padding, popsicle sticks, finger splints, and tape. Vet wrap is good so that you can unwrap it to check that it isn't too tight if there is swelling. I hope you can help her. Puppies should be kept away with fencing until they are trained to leave the poultry alone.
