i have a hen with a broken leg. I stepped on her! Please be careful. It doesn't feel good. Anyway, she is fine but can't walk. I wrapped the leg and it is straight. She won't move. Any suggestions?

Wow! Easy Peasy! ThanksMake a chicken sling for her out of a plastic tub and an old t-shirt.

Can you post a picture of your wrapping?Below the thigh. It seemed to wrap pretty good.
Its broken just above the hock? If so, I like to use vet wrap/gauze cut to size to stabilize the leg. I have even used pool noodles cut to size to keep a bone in place. Heck, in small chicks, I've used plastic straws. Just remember to check the foot to make sure the toes remain warm. You don't want to put the bandage on too tight. Chickens can survive leg fractures, however, it the tendon slips in the affected leg you may have a permanently lame hen. Good luck! I hope she does well.
