I fixed slipped tendon once. I popped the tendon back into place, & made a small cast out of a peice of flexible drinking straw(Cut in the middle), & wrapped in self adhesive medical tape.
It worked.

I would demonstrate what I came up with, but don't have little chicks anymore.

Some people use a straw, some just use vet wrap/co wrap/ sports wrap, the kind that sticks to itself, nothing with actual adhesive which makes it too hard to remove. It will have to be adjusted/changed regularly to make sure it doesn't become too tight, they grow so fast.
