So my cousin just got a chick who pretty much has all of his feathers, he's a yellow banty and both of his legs come out like that and he first use them he kind of slides around with the help of his wings and he was just fine the other day with his mother and his sister in a nice sized coop, with a couple boxes, some food and some water, his hips are also coming out allot, I was wondering if that's natural and what I can do for him, please help and excuse my art skills!

Sounds like he has "spraddle leg."

I have him in some hay and I take him out every so often and make sure he drinks water, and thank you so much

Is he being kept on newspaper? Slippery surfaces are not good for chicks, they need some texture so their feet won't slide out from underneath them.

This site has some great photos that show how to treat spraddle leg in chicks:

Good luck!

Hay might not be the best for him, I find wood shavings, with a layer of highly textured paper towel over the top, works best for the first few weeks. Then by about week three you can take the paper towel off and let them right on the shavings.

Change the paper towel when it gets too poopy, don't want them getting poop stuck to their feet either.

Yeah only with medical tape and he's doing pretty good by himself but I'm also laying him down and working his legs a bit too which also seemed to help
