I'm relatively new to this forum and have been lurking in the other topics just having gotten my new chicks 5 weeks ago. Everything has been going well until tonight when one of my chicks broke a toenail and it was bleeding. I did have a jar of Diatomaceous Earth handy and packed some of the powder on the toenail and it did stop the bleeding quickly Don't know if it would work on more than a broken toenail tip, but I was glad it helped. Just thought I would mention that if it might help someone else sometime. I've appreciated all I've learned from this forum - thought maybe I could give back a little.
