I came home from work today and let my ducks out and notice one of my khaki cambells toe nails was gone. Like the dew claw one. It was bleeding pretty good and I put peroxide on it along with Neosporin. I just went out to put them to bed and now she is limping. Any suggestions? Will it heel ok and by itself? Anything else I can do? I just wish I can make her feel better.

I assume ducks and chickens are similar? One of my chickens recently was limping 2-3 days, back toe nail gone. She's now fine, nail doesn't appear to be coming back tho. As long as the duck is acting normally, eating and drinking, I would just watch a couple of days. Hope she gets over it.

With owning Muscovy this happens a lot, i use qwick stop and then keep an eye for any risk of infection 99% it stops bleeding and we move on... if it's snapped right off likely will not return, sadly i have a few here who have that a bare toe. Not much you can do, it does happen.
