Last night before bed I checked on my chicks like usual and found dried up blood all over their perch and assumed the worst. I then see my lavender orpington with blood on her face. I get her out of the brooder box to investigate more. That's when I discovered she had blood on her toe from a broken toe nail! I cleaned her all up and checked the other chicks. They are 4 weeks old. Is teo nail clipping in order? I'm beyond scared to do it. I've done dogs before but never chickens. How is it done?
