My duck was attacked by a racoon. Her wing was injured, started draining, & smelling the second day. I secured an oral antibiotic from the vet and sprayed her wing with antiseptic. Nothing was evident the first 2 days but a couple of puncture wounds. Now the tip of the ulna bone has popped out. She is dragging her wing now but is eating/drinking just fine. It's Saturday & the vet is not available until Monday. Any advice would be welcome!!!

Poor girl.

As the wound is infected, it's best that it is open so the infection can drain out. Its vital she gets a strong antibiotic as she is at risk of getting bone infection. Be sure she ingests the full dose of oral antibiotic until you can see the vet on Monday

Meanwhile she needs to be quiet and calm so that the open wound doesn't get further infection. I bring sick and injured ducks into my house and keep them in a small dog crate on puppy pads, with an old sheet to go round 3 sides during the day and completely cover at night.

I can't see the wound but I would be tempted to put a large non-stick dressing over it, secure the dressing with Vetwrap round the wing and body. Get a newborn or 0-3 month baby tee shirt and put that over everything. You might have to put a knot in the back of the neck to stop the duck pulling it down with her feet.
