Kathy, are the phalanges bone ? Im trying to establish exactly what I will be feeling. there are 2 movable joints right ?

Yes bone. Like our fingers. Not sure if the last joint moves or is fixed.

The best thing to do is to grab an uninjured bird and study it's wing. Try to establish what bones the flight feathers are attached to and what normal range of motion is. It would also help if you could post pictures here.

@casportpony Sorry, We were a mess over here for a couple days and I wasnt able to do anything. He is actually mending. Swelling in the leg is down and he is walking better . 2 flight feathers sticking out . I didnt get pictures of him but I did get this.
