A hawk just killed my poor baby, Lizzie. She was my sweetest and smallest girl and now she's gone and I can't stop crying. My husband and I buried her in the backyard. I am usually out there with them all day but we went inside to grab dinner and bring it out back. My two other girls are traumatized. How can I keep them safe?

My lil girl 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

The chickens have a large, covered run with hardware cloth all around but we let them wander in the backyard during the day when I'm out with them. This happened in a split second. I'd like to let them roam without panicking every second since I'm pretty sure now I couldn't stop one even if I had been out there... Could we put eagle netting over the yard? We would have it done and the walls are quite tall and secure.
