Are BBB's really an undesireable bird to have? What about just one female for a pet? Is it just NOT a good idea? Sue

The problem with the Broad Breasted types is the size of the bird, they grow so fast and so large their legs can't suport them and they have other heart and breathing problems. They were bred as meat birds, if you wanted a pet turkey a heritage breed is the way to go if you want it to be around for awhile
