I have 5 4 week olds in a playpen brooder in the garage. During the day the temps are find and lately the nights have been ok too but last night it got to 34. Question is I only have one brooder lamp and I just got new baby chicks.. so I took the light off the playpen and gave it to the little girls so now the big ones don't have one. I didn't want to buy a new one when they will be going outside in a few weeks to the coop so are these temps ok? They seemed fine, a little more huddled up than normal and fluffed out, but everyone seemed happy and they were keeping each other warm.
I don't think its supposed to get that cold for much longer.

So I just read on another post people putting in tiny babies with their 4 weeks olds.. That scares me cause the size difference is significant.. I just want to make sure they are warm and dont get squashed. Any thoughts?
