Brooder Box Bedding

Hi, new to the group and ducks. Im expecting my ducklings from the hatchery any day now. I have everything set up, except for the brooder bedding. I was curious if I could use the horse stall pellets. (We call it dry den here)...any help would be amazing. Thank you!

I have been using the horse stall pine pellets. I like using it. It helped with the smell a lot and I didn’t have to change it out every day just the stuff that got super soaked plus the top layer.

Would it be ok to use just dry den in the house after they are bigger? Or do they need straw for bedding?
